IIFL Wealth & Asset Management hires new COO

IIFL Wealth & Asset Management has appointed a former A.T. Kearney partner as COO with immediate effect.

With over two decades of experience, Anshuman Maheshwary has been vested with the responsibility of designing and implementing business strategies while setting comprehensive goals for performance and growth at the Indian wealth manager.

He is expected to work closely with Karan Bhagat, managing director and CEO at IIFL Wealth & Asset Management.

“Anshuman’s deep expertise on strategy and business planning will immensely benefit IIFL Wealth & Asset Management as we reinforce our capabilities to drive our performance and deliver our growth ambitions,” said Bhagat.

“His ability to implement large-scale organisation transformation and performance improvement will deliver tangible impact for our clients and employees.”

Maheshwary joins from A.T. Kearney, where he had worked since June 2001, most recently holding the position of partner and lead, energy and process industries. He was responsible for senior client relationship development and management, as well as driving high-impact programmes across all aspects of the CEO agenda.

“I am extremely pleased to be part of this dynamic team,” Maheshwary said. “IIFL Wealth is at an exciting point in its development. I look forward to the new opportunities this role brings in spearheading innovative processes and technology across the group.”

In 2018, IIFL WM boosted both its headcount and platform capabilities through its acquisitions of Wealth Advisors and data analytics fintech firm Altiore Advisors, around the same period as the launch of the IIFL-ONE platform, which institutionalises investment options under a transparent all-in fee structure.

According to Asian Private Banker’s India 2018 AUM League Table, IIFL Wealth & Asset Management is the third largest onshore wealth manager in India, with US$21.28 billion in assets under management as at end-2018.
